Water and Land
At Braun Gosling we represent public entities, private companies, and individuals dealing with water rights, water quality, special districts/public agency, and land use. We provide counsel on environmental compliance and negotiating or litigating regulatory enforcement actions with the California State Water Resources Control Board and Regional Water Quality Control Boards, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, and the California Water Commission.
We also provide counsel to farmers, ranchers, vintners, and oil producers related to water use, land use and construction matters. We address issues from pesticides, water rights permits, and assist with ground water monitoring, and consult with growers, food processors, and the petroleum industry on waste discharge requirements.
Doug Gosling is called upon to represent clients on administrative matters and complex areas with natural resources, water, public agency, and land use involving, environmental, business, and commercial litigation. He has negotiated water settlements, litigated water contracts involving the Kern River, drafted legislation, and engages municipal bodies from Special Districts and City Councils, to the County Supervisors, and from administrative agencies, to the Superior Courts of California.
